Art Placements: 2006, 2009

Roxbury Youthworks - Dorchester Cmty. Re-Entry Ctr
Roxbury Youthworks is a community-based nonprofit organization, who works to create healthy families and build strong communities by inspiring young men and women to recognize and develop their strengths, and to prepare them to lead self-sufficient lives. They combat roots of juvenile delinquency in the inner city neighborhoods of Boston by providing innovative support services to court-involved and other youth up to 21 years of age. The Dorchester Community Re-entry Center provides services to young men who are transitioning from DYS secure treatment facilities and residential placements back to their home in the Dorchester community. This structured reintegration process provides youth with intensive supervision and support to make a positive transition. Donated art will hang in the reception area, group rooms, conference room, waiting areas, and hallways as additional components of a safe space providing a welcoming and comforting atmosphere for clients and staff.
