Shattuck Hospital
The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital provides acute, sub-acute, and ambulatory care to its diverse patients, as well as an array of mental health, substance abuse, and social services. Located in Jamaica Plain, the hospital has inpatient care for the chronically and severely mentally ill. The services also enable patients that are economically and socially disadvantaged, and underserved by the mainstream health care system to obtain high quality cost effective care from a staff that respects their dignity. Donated art will hang in the conference, training, and meeting rooms where clients access services as well as the entry waiting area to add much needed color, creativity, and artistic expression to the hospital and help build staff and client morale.
