The mission of the Boston
Institute for Psychotherapy (BIP) is to contribute to human development, mental
health, and the effectiveness of human organizations. This mission is
accomplished by developing, teaching, and applying psychodynamic principles. BIP
is based in Brookline, MA, and has been serving as a fully licensed mental
health clinic to provide support to adults, children, couples, and families for
over 40 years.
Boston Institute for
Psychotherapy is one of the few remaining mental health clinics in the Boston
area that offers open-ended psychotherapy at reasonable and negotiable fees.
The staff is comprised of licensed psychologists, social workers, mental health
counselors, and psychiatrists. Within
BIP’s facilities is the Rice Center for Children and Families, providing
individual and family therapy for expecting, new, and experienced parents.
Artwork donated to BIP hangs in the reception area, hallways, library, and in the waiting rooms in the treatment
rooms and the Rice Center.
