Golda Meir House

Golda Meir House is one of several properties managed by the Jewish Community Housing for the Elderly (JCHE). This 199-unit building located in Auburndale is welcoming to independent seniors of all backgrounds, with over 85% of the units reserved as low-income housing. Residents enjoy fully equipped apartments with full kitchens, as well as attractive and inviting common space, courtyards and grounds. Golda Meir House offers social, cultural and recreational programs that facilitate healthy aging. The 235 residents of Golda Meir House have the opportunity to form relationships, engage in lifelong interests, and explore new ones. In any given day residents may be learning Spanish, writing poetry with support from a college professor, participating in a fashion show to raise money for the children of Darfur, and tending to a vegetable garden.
Artwork donations hang in the lobbies, meeting rooms, hallways outside the library and computer rooms, and dining room and serve as a topic of conversation among neighbors and an object of contemplation for individuals.
