The Mission of the Elizabeth Seton Residence is to provide
compassionate care to the elderly in an environment where all are welcome and
respected. Residents’ average age is 88+ and includes a population with
dementia and cognitive deficits. They are provided with skilled nursing and
rehabilitative resident-centered care, in a facility that is as homelike and
"non-institutional" as possible.
The 84-bed residence is located in Wellesley and serves
upwards of 140 people, more than half of whom are individuals from low-income
families, annually. The organization offers short-term rehabilitation with particular expertise in
managing orthopedic, cardiac, and complex medical needs as well as long term
care, hospice care, and respite stays. Donated artwork have been installed
in common areas where people live, gather, and receive care.
