Quincy Medical Center
Quincy Medical Center’s mission is to provide the highest quality health care services in a professional, warm, and compassionate manner for all residents of the community. QMC is a nonprofit community teaching hospital and a safety net hospital that treats all patients regardless of race, religion, or ability to pay. More than 60% of their patients receive government funding and many are low income residents of Quincy and the surrounding area. Donated art will hang in the entry, elevator lobbies, and waiting rooms to enliven the hospital’s most traveled areas and provide a more pleasant atmosphere for patients and their visitors. There is a wealth of scientific data that shows artwork in healthcare setting has a therapeutic effect on patients, in addition to the aesthetic benefits that everyone can enjoy.
