The Community Group

For more than 40 years, The Community Group (TCG) has been guided by its mission to “create, manage and nurture high-quality programs focused on education and related services that support families and educators.” The youth and families TCG serves often come to these programs while working through stressful situations at home (for example, DCF referrals, and/or families living in poverty).
The office and program spaces of TCG are spread out across three floors of a historic building in Lawrence, MA that once served as a library.  Certain spaces are highly functional, but plain and utilitarian, while others are grand and a bit daunting in scale. With the addition of art to stairwells, lobbies, training rooms, and children’s play and learning areas, the building is now more warm and inviting, helping the needy families who rely on TCG’s services to feel safe, comfortable, and well-served.
