Parenting Journey

The mission of Parenting Journey is to create safer, more resilient families by supporting them in developing the inner strengths, life skills, and networks of resources they need to succeed. Since 1982, Parenting Journey’s programs have helped parents build safer, stronger families. To date thousands of parents have participated in the Parenting Journey program—more than 52,000 since 2007. Parenting Journey offers programs for caregivers from racially, ethnically, culturally, and economically diverse population, who all share a desire for support in being the best caregivers they can.
Parenting Journey assists parents who are confronting all kinds of challenges, from supporting working parents struggling to juggle personal and professional obligations, to helping parents who have experienced violence or childhood trauma, parents responding to protective services and/or court mandates, parents with mental health issues, in preventative programs or in recovery, parents raised in foster care, and Grandparents raising grandchildren.

In addition to working with caregivers, Parenting Journey offers training for human service professionals interested in replicating the program model, which has grown to nearly 500 locations across the U.S. and can be found in communities across MA, NY, DC, FL…and more
